Strategies to Manage Time in College
College offers a completely different routine and schedule than most freshman students have ever experienced. Unlike high school, you may not have to get up until noon for class. You have plenty of time outside of class to do homework, and it's all up to you to find strategies to better use your time in college, since no parents are hounding you about whether your assignments are done. This amount of freedom and flexibility is great for some students, but others may feel overwhelmed by the task of getting everything done on their own. There may be weeks where you have absolutely no major assignments to work on, giving you plenty of free time. However, if you slack off during these times, you can expect total chaos during the week where you have two tests, a quiz and three papers due. With the right scheduling skills, you can easily create a more convenient and relaxing schedule that prevents caffeine-fueled all-nighters and hectic days at the library.

You want to start implementing a savings program using them, but you're not quite sure how you go about buying them. Actually, they're quite easy to buy through a variety of means, and they require a lot less paperwork than Section 529 plans or Coverdell accounts. Why Should I Rent my Textbooks
Why Should I Rent my Textbooks
As a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology, I can certainly attest to the fact that one of the greatest expenses in the educational process is the price of text books. Many choose to purchase their books because they want to have them for future reference. For those who are merely in an educational tract that requires external coursework for which they do not see any future use, renting books may be the best option

Scholarships for Minorities - U.S.
Take a look around and you will see a number of successful minorities in all professional fields: Sonia Sotomayor, M. Night Shyamalan, Vera Wang, Oprah Winfrey, etc. And don't forget the current U.S. president, Barack Obama. Although these people are minorities in American society, their achievements and talents are not at all of minor league quality. One of the main reasons that have made them become who they are today, I believe, is good education. The following is a list of scholarships available for various ethnic groups. Hopefully, this will be helpful for minority students who would like to achieve their educational goals and follow their role models' footsteps.

What to Take to College
What to Take to College
t’s an exciting but sad day. When you pack the stuff in your room at home to take to your new home - college. As simple as this seems it is quite a challenging process. I have seen plenty of students’ rooms overflowing with junk that will never be used, as well as several students who have had to borrow everything from their roommate or new neighbors. You don’t want to be on either end of that continuum, but somewhere in the middle. Space is usually at a premium, so efficiency is the goal.
